A downloadable constraint

Constraints is like a series of mini game jams. Every two weeks we have a new constraint based on which each of us creates a game.
The purpose of these challenges is to push us to think about new game design problems, principles, and mechanics; or to exercise the basics. It also helps us push out ideas without getting attached, as well as creating content in the process. Mostly though, we just do it because it's heckin' fun!!, but it's always good to pile rationalizations on top.

This weeks' constraint:  A physical 2D fighting game

Gamers are violent. Game designers make them violent. It's a tradition we aim to honor. This time, we're making a 2D fighter in physical form. Simon tried to think out of the box, and he came up with boxing. Look at him go. And look at us in a couple of weeks when we're black and blue from fighting this constraint.
