Ryndomorph
I hope you've had a pleasant day, my friends. Only 41 more artworks left.
Today I made a void creature. I wanted it to be like a space jellyfish. So this time I heeded (head?) my own advice and made some sketches before starting to pixel it out:
I was looking at some pictures of jellyfish and now I get why they are so often inspire alien designs. They are really interesting, and one of the references I used kinda turned out like a skull. As you can guess and see from my sketches, I basically fixated on that idea, and I liked some of the sketches so I tried to make that.
Here's Ryndomorph:
As you can see, I did some see through thing again. It's really fun to do. I also tried to make the background look like it could be either space or deep under water. In general, Ryndomorph didn't turn out like I wanted it to, which doesn't mean it's bad. Definitely more creepy than the other creatures, but I think these are necessary as well. This took actually quite some time, even though there weren't many steps as you can see from the gif. The sketching pushed it immediately to a more complex and creative level for sure, but it did take away some time overall. I am excited to see what eldritch horrors await tomorrow.
Stay safe,
Zivan
