Orolotl
Today's new entry was quite hard to make, not because the character design is insane, but because it has 4 hands which I needed to make look like they could be hands. It was quite a struggle. Here's Orolotl
It is an axolotl that has tesla coils instead of antennae. They don't look like tesla coils, you say. I took some artistic liberty. Unrelated to this artwork, I have started some literal world-building, meaning I am figuring out the planet(s) these things could emerge on. I did watch Avatar 2 and the documentaries about the first one where they go into some depth about how they designed the creatures. It's impressive just how much thought went into the whole ecosystem. Point being, I was inspired to start as well. I think it all goes back to what I've been saying in the last couple of posts: planning makes it easier and more fun. However, planning isn't productive for me because I get hung up on it easily without getting actual work done. I am excited to see how the approach to the designs will change once I have laid some of the ground work for the world.
Anyway that's enough talk, see you tomorrow.
